 The Final Word game review

Wario Land -- Nintendo

R.I.P.
This game alone sold the system for me, and really shows a look into the power of this console when programmed at its best. While games on this machine may not be for everyone, if you are a hard core game player, you owe it to yourself to at least play this one title for the Virtual Boy. The 3-D graphics are more than just stacks of multi-plane scrolls (unless you still consider about a ba-jillion planes of scrolls, multi-planer), you really get a feel for smooth movement of objects moving in and out through the play area. Play control was just as you would expect for a Mario style game. Sound and music were pretty good as well, although I really wish Nintendo would have gone with something more than stereo Game Boy speakers for audio! Also, if your worried about prolonged viewing on this game, I should point out that the actual difficulty level of the game is about middle of the road, and the individual levels are never so long that you would need to take a break in the middle of play. Let's put it this way, I made it half way through the game in one sitting of about an hour of play. This will be the one game to keep coming back to, just so you can be wowed again and again.
