The Final Word game review
Another cartoon comes home in Road Runner's Death Valley Rally for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. As always, the Road Runner must out race and out wit his ever hungry rival, Wile E. Coyote. Four multi-stage "cartoons" await players in this all-out race for your life.

Whiz... Any questions to the Super Nintendo's ability to make a high speed running game with no slow down have been put to rest. Mindful of the funny blue guy, this game was amusing. The cartoon animations in the beginning of each level are really spiffy. The control is quite different from the average game. But this is to be expected when you have a one-hundred pound bird standing on a set of two inch feet. The run and avoid gig gets old quick, some form of either shooing off, or protecting your self from enemies would be nice. Supposedly you are given the ability to peck and kill enemies, but this rarely works--and is pointless for airborne enemies. Try this game before passing judgement, however.

Beep, Beep. Vroooom! The Road Runner is back with his eternally hungry stalker, Wiley E. Coyote. While playing this game it seemed exactly like the cartoon with the graphics and music. But, alas, not everything can be perfect. I speak of control, or lack there of. However, one of the amazing attributes of this game is the Road Runner's speed which definitely contributes to the quality of the game. This game may seem cute, but in reality it is very challenging. I found this game to be very funny and enjoyably after watching the Coyote get smashed many different ways.
R.I.P.
If you like watching Road Runner and Coyote cartoons, you'll love this game. The sound and graphics are right out of the cartoons and you have full control of all of the Road Runners classic expressions. Game control left a little to be desired at times. And this game is definitely not for the timid. But ohhh, how good it feels to see the Coyote get crushed at the end of each cartoon.
Salamander
Death Valley Rally is every bit as looney as the cartoon. The graphics are excellent and the sound effects are absolutely zany. While the high level of difficulty can be frustrating at times, the game is still a lot of fun. The mode 7 animations of the Coyote are great. Roadrunner's high speed action really puts this title into high gear!
