The Final Word game review
R.I.P.
As far as FMV shooters on the SegaCD go, this is probably one of the better ones. Targeting seemed reasonably accurate. Although, I felt at times that even when I was hitting all of my targets the game still would sometimes repeat a play sequence as if I had failed to complete it. The cinemas featured some pretty good full screen video, and the FMV during gameplay was good as well. Everything else about the game is pretty standard for the genre.
The biggest plus for me here, is that I'm glad to see another FMV shooter for the system that is actually playable... But... my biggest minus on this game is the price, which I think is far to high for its target market. Just like Bug Blasters, I think these game should be selling for a lower price, maybe in the range of $19-24 which would put it well within the range of a novelty purchase for many gamers. In any event though, I would suggest that if you have the cash and you want to fill out your collection, go ahead and get this game. But if you're tight on funds, just stick with Bug Blasters which is far more fun to play.
