Virtual Hydlide is the first semi-RPG for the Sega Saturn, so of course I had high hopes. Virtual Hydlide suffers from its slow 3-D engine which can make gameplay very sluggish and confusing at times. The music is OK and I would have liked a little more emphasis on the RPG elements but everything considered, this is a decent adventure that kept me playing once I got over the graphical shortcomings.
