The Final Word game review
R.I.P.
Graphically -- down to the cinemas -- an exact clone of the 3DO version, and as far as sound goes, it's essentially the same. The voice recording sounds slightly different, and I would almost swear there was a slightly different set of dialog comments for Gex in this version than in the 3DO or PlayStation versions. Playcontrol is pretty good, although I found a couple of places in the game where the precision requirement was so high in relation to what came before and after so as to be a bit ridiculous. As always, graphics were amusing and decent in this game, sound and music were good as well. If you've always wondered about this game, and have a liking for a good platform title, then you should check this one out. It's bound to give you a pretty good weekend of play.
