The Final Word game review
R.I.P.
At first I was really hyped about this game. My first reaction when I saw the box was that it was akin to Ghen War -- which I rather enjoyed. Then I fired it up and I was thinking, "Well the cinemas are kinda hokey, but the game looks like it's using the Ghen engine." Then I played the game... Several boring levels later I was so discouraged that I had to turn it of before I even ran out of guys. I found the missions easy enough to blow through, and it also seemed like the collision counter was flawed. Not necessarily in the shoot enemy/get shot collisions, but in the location of your body to the ground. To better explain, there were many jumps where I failed to make it even though it seemed to me that I had clearly completed the jump. This was never a problem with Ghen War, and I would more likely believe that somebody had been monkeying with the terrain collisions rather than think that somehow I've become unable to perform this action... Especially with the fact that I went back and played Ghen and had no problems at all with the same kind of jumps. It boils down to the lack of any real challenge and serious problems with maneuverability. Skip it. Skip it. Skip it.
