The Final Word game review
R.I.P.
I offer a non-denominational prayer as part of my review of this title.
Please Great <fill in the blank> hear my prayer. Please make the clueless people who never understood these games to begin with stop doing this.
Thank you.
...what? Why?!? Look, this game had nothing to do with Space Invaders aside from some lame 3-D modeled "alien" ships scooting down the screen towards you. No panic, no stress, NO SUSPENSE, lots of boredom. I hope someone other than the poor programmer who cried as he ruined this game looses some sleep over this crap. Then again, I've met the kind of people who decide to make games like this and they have no clue. They'll probably be ruining some other poor programmers life next year at some other company, being proud on their resume about how they were in charge of creating this game. They might even brag about it because "Space Invaders is cool right? We called it Space Invaders. So it's cool! Right?"
Get the point yet? "New", "3-D" and "Shiny" alone do not make a good game! It's like saying "Frames" makes a good site. And stashing the original "Classic Arcade Version" in the game isn't a selling point when the primary game bites this hard.
