The Final Word game review
You control the ZamCam Assault Rig, a lethal weapon used in the future to determine the outcome of disputes. Get behind the wheel and hunt down your opponents across over 40 levels of fully texture mapped game arenas -- You can even link up with a friend for challenging two player action. Grab power-ups along the way, and be sure to grab those all so essential gems so that you can continue to advance to the next level. Sony Interactive's Assault Rigs is out now for the PlayStation.
Ferrari Man
Assault Rigs opens up with one of the snazziest Tron style intros. However, as the game progresses the Tron atmosphere gets more and more distant, and a less exciting world emerges. The atmosphere of the game is perhaps the biggest distraction with funky music, and strange tanks. This gives the game a very distinct personality. Reasonably fast action, and a suitable number of levels will keep this game around for any gamer. Overall a decent title.
R.I.P.
Bi-gosh this is a darn good game. In fact I think it's one of the better releases for the PlayStation to date. Music is catchy, and the sound is pretty immersive. Gameplay is absolutely excellent and only takes a short time to pick up. I was really happy with the length of the game overall and the levels in general. I know a lot of people were really bent out of shape over the fact that the tanks don't look like Tron tanks, and to be honest I was a bit dissapointed at first as well. But once I had spent some time on the game, I got over it pretty quick. On a side note, some of the optional camera angles used in this game still baffle me as to their usefulness... In any event check this game out, for me it is a must have in my library.
