Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth -- Electro-Brain/Hudson Soft

R.I.P.
Well folks, if you're a shooter fan, this is about it for shooter action on the N64. Sure there are a couple of other games out there, but as far as playable goes, this is it. But the game doesn't rest only on being a one-of-a-kind for this genre on the N64. It get's even better if you're a hardcore shooter fan from the TurboGrafx/PCEngine days. If this is you, then you remember all of the best Hudson shooters and yep, you guessed it... this is the sequel to the Star Soldier series. Never fear, it lives up to it's heritage in every way.

Graphics were surprisingly excellent. And while the sound wasn't all that memorable, it was all good... If you're looking for that old-school shooters groove, here the next stop on your journey. My only complaint was that they gave away to many bonuses too quick. After you've finished the game once everything useful is unlocked, so there really isn't any compelling reason to replay the game unless you just want to play it for the heck of it. But... that only would effect how much I think the game is worth paying for and not a reason to skip the game. Check it out.
