Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards -- HAL Laboratory

R.I.P.
Wow, I really loved this game. It's just way to cute. While the game is a breeze for any adult to blast through. Kirby 64 isn't aimed at adults. This game is totally a kids game. No reading is really necessary to play the game. Just the ability to jump and attack. These two basic maneuvers will get you through the game. My kids play it frequently and they especially like to go back and play the multi-player mini-games that have been opened up as we've played the title.

The real challenge is attempting to get 100%. Attempting to get a complete solve allows you to unlock bonus that are picked up along the way. But... you don't need to be complete to get a solve. In fact, I think a minimal solve can be achieved at around 60%-70% complete which is the same as many of Nintendo's other internally developed games.

The N64 really is a fantastic gaming platform for child friendly games, and this is one of the best on the system in this category. While graphics are average for the system, the music is catchy and enjoyable to listen to.

All-in-all, if you have kids, this game is a must have. Otherwise, if you're an adult looking to play the game, you can probably get everything there is to get from this game by making it a rental. Either way, it is fun to play.
