One of the more fun racing games on the N64. While the title is clearly a P.R. gimmick for Volkswagen the underlying game is still pretty good. The control is very solid. Graphics and sound are well done. I especially loved the sound effects the game produced while running through some of the shortcuts.

The game is pretty easy to get into, and the progression for opening up new tracks and cars is right on. While it isn't the best racing game I've ever played, Beetle Adventure Racing was well worth the purchase, and gave me several weeks of enjoyment... although once we were done unlocking everything we could find in the game it ended up back on the shelf and hasn't been played since. Hmm...
