The Final Word game review

There is no denying that Alex Kidd was Sega's answer to the popular Mario series. In my book, Alex Kidd was leaps ahead of Mario in complexity, gameplay, and strangeness. This was Sega's first triumph at making a really excellent game that stood above the rest. Alex fought baddies with a really large fist and beat bosses by playing "Janken" (rock-paper-scissors) with them. Alex also had a flying cane, a motorcycle, and a heli-bike which he could buy at various shops along the way.
