Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure -- Activison

The 16-bit follow-up to the classic Activision series, Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure places you in the depths of the South American rain forest in your quest for treasures. Who knows, maybe you'll even find the original Atari 2600 Pitfall along the way. This game is for play on the Atari Jaguar.

I'm really not sure who is to blame for this lackluster soft. Was it Activision who created it or Imagitec who didn't seem to improve it in the Jag conversion. Of all the games Activision could have ruined, why Pitfall? I had such fond memories. Maybe I'm not doing my math right, but this game sucks!

Well... let see, I can just see the coders on this game saying... "how pixel identical can we make this game to every other version out?" You can see the answer to that question in this game. It looks identical to the SNES, Genesis, etc..., etc..., etc... and it's about as exciting to play as well... hmmm... actually, finding the original Pitfall hidden in this title was more fun for me, but hey! Maybe that's just me... If you've already played this game... then you've already played this game... no need to play it again.
