VectorMan -- Blue Sky

After returning from your appointed dump-truck flight to the sun, you arrive on earth to discover it has been taken over by robots bent on the elemination of the human race. As VectorMan, you must defeat the crazed robots and their warped leader before it's to late. VectorMan is new from BlueSky Software, for play on the Sega Genesis.

At first I didn't like this game, but it actaully turned out to be pretty good. VectorMan definitely pushes the graphical limits of the Genesis and saves some memory for cool gameplay, unlike Batman and Robin. VectorMan is not especially deep, but is nice if you just want to run amok and blow up good-looking enemies. The music is basic, decent-sounding Genesis stuff.

R.I.P.
Absolutely, with out a doubt, the best platform game on the Genesis... Period. Possibly one of the best looking on the platform as well. VectorMan has great graphics, exceptional sound (discounting the fact that it's mono), and some of the most percise game control I have ever experienced in a Genesis game... or in platform games on a number of consoles for that matter. This game is fast too... not like Sonic 2 where the screen goes past to fast and your eyes bleed... I'm talking about overall speed. This game's graphics are really smooth and run at a very high frame rate. If you miss out on this title, you're going to regret it. This game will be a permanent addition to my collection, and I can see playing it repeatedly. It really is a lot of fun. A definite buy if you own a Genesis.
