The Final Word game review
Dr. Otto
Virgin's latest foray into the action genre scores high marks all around. Based on the Dark Horse comics mini-series of the same name, this title finally does RoboCop justice. (Robo is my favorite Sci-Fi character, and I've been less than thrilled with other game incarnations of him.) Ten levels of dark but dynamic graphic worlds carry you from old Detroit to the future ruins of a city ruined by SkyNet. (To find out more about the story, get the comic, or better yet, get the game.) A suitable techno-rock soundtrack, complete with voice and explosive sound effects bring a shattered future to life. Plenty of ammo here, too. Everything from grenade launchers and flame throwers to plasma rifles and even ED-209's weapon pod are at your disposal to trash terminators as well as street punks, who explode into squishy red pools (neat!) when you hose them. Keep this one away from mom and dad!
