The Final Word game review
Based on the arcade, Pit Fighter is ready to challenge you on your Nintendo GameBoy. Choose from three different fighters and get set for a brawl in this side-view hand-to-hand fighting game.
Ferrari Man
I was surprised with the quality of this GameBoy title. With some of the best GameBoy graphics to date and arcade style control, it was a sound package. A third button was missing, but this certainly didn't detract from the game. It may not be Street Fighter II, but it is none-the-less excellent in its own right.

I was surprised when I played this game. T*HQ Inc. did a fair translation of this game. The graphics are pretty good for the GameBoy. The sound effects got pretty annoying, but with a turn of the volume switch I solved that problem. The one thing I miss from the arcade is the ability to jump. This difficulty really limits the gameplay and turns the game into a simple slug fest with no aerial attack. The sad thing is that I found this version more enjoyable than the SNES version.
R.I.P.
Wow! I can't believe it! This has got to be the best looking GameBoy title I've ever seen. Now, I have to admit that when I first heard of Pit Fighter on the GameBoy I about died laughing, but when I saw the game... well... it works. It's not the same, of course, but it feels and, oddly enough, looks like Pit Fighter. Also, I'm really saying it guys, this has got to be overall the best home version of this title I've seen to date!
Salamander
What a shock! I admit I wasn't expecting much, but Pit Fighter really impressed me. This title is excellent. The character graphics are very much like the arcade, even in black and white. Not only are they detailed, they do not seem prone to the classic GameBoy screen smear and color bleed, either. The music is not great, but its not bad. The play control is excellent, excepting the omission of the third button. Pit Fighter on the GameBoy really packs a punch.
