The Final Word game review
In Star Fighter, you play the part of a "FedNet Space Force" test pilot in this 3-D flight/combat game from Studio 3DO for play on the 3DO. With 60 levels to play, and many undocumented power-ups to discover, you must prove your skill to achieve the status of Ace test pilot.

A great game where you can blow lots of things up. The graphics are great and the music is great (most of the time). The only thing that Star Fighter suffers from is a hellish learning curve on control.
R.I.P.
This game has got one of the most odd feels to its play control. Once you get the hang of the control you don't think about it though. The first time I sat down to play, the only word I can think of to describe it would be "squishy". but once you get the hang of it, you can fly a pretty precise mission. The graphics in this game are really good, and I just love how everything interacts. You can blow away a mountain by pounding at it with your ship's weapons, and the mountain rips away bit by bit from the assault. In fact, the best strategy I found for taking out buildings on hills is to blow out the ground underneath the building causing it to collapse and explode. This game was a lot of fun, and I highly recommend it if you like arcade style flying/shooting games.
