A top flight combat simulator with enough mission variety and difficulty settings to have you glued to the screen and loosing your job within a week. Visual and aural components are up to specs, although some music is badly needed. Not for the squeamish, Shock Wave has you touring the world and obliterating well-known landmarks as well as the occasional alien walker (stupid), scout (wimpy), interceptor (maneuvers like a split-level), and the like. My only complaint is that I couldn't find the CES Complex while leveling Las Vegas... I would've shot property values there all the way to China.

Great full motion video, decent control, and good speedy action. The story was a little bit unbelievable and overly dramatic for my liking, but the game itself is a lot of fun to play. A good addition to 3DO's building library of flight-sim style shooters.
