The Final Word game review
Launch your X-Wing fighter for the final Death Star assualt! Both you and a friend can take the lead or just go it alone. Eight levels of challenging combat await you in this 3-D space action reinactment straight from the Star Wars trilogy. Star Wars Arcade is brought to you by LucasArts for play on the Sega 32X.

Star Wars, nothing but Star Wars. Not near, but far wars... uh sorry. The 32X attempting a translation of Model 1 hardware!?! Fear not, Jedi Knights, this is actually a well done translation of the little seen arcade title. The 32X shines here by not only accomplishing little polygon break-up, but by also keeping pop-up to a minimum. Even the poor old Genesis sound chip outdoes itself especially in the opening "Star Wars Theme." Highly recommended if you're one of the few that accidentally bought a 32X.
R.I.P.
I'll admit that I never played this game in the arcade. I never found an instalation near where I lived, and the one unit I did see was so busy that after waiting and watching for 20 minutes, I gave up and went to play something else. The 32X translation seems pretty good visually, and I would have to say that this is one of the very few games that I would even consider owning for the platform. Playcontrol was decent, sound was very good... It's to bad this game wasn't bumped over to the Saturn so that more people could play it.
